A metaphor for my take on life and how it affects me. |

Another day is coming to a close. It was a good one, I managed to make my appointment on time, and was seen in a relatively short time. I had an Echo & Carotid (scan) for lack of better word. I'll see my Cardiologist in May and get the results. The technician told me I'll see you next year, so evidently he had some positive vibes. (I hope) While I was out I picked up two Taco Chicken Salads at one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants this one has the taco shell filled with beans, chicken, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. It was very good and went down with no problems. Our Cat Greta is still having some issues, she's not moving around very much (which I guess isn't that unusual) but she seems disorientated when she is moving.) My wife went ahead and took off the cone, and we're waiting for her to move to see if she acts more normal. Like everything else time will tell. It was 50° degrees when Gracie and I went out for our daily walk. I dropped her off after 1.16 miles. Her portion of the walked was shorten by a call from Mother Nature that had to be addressed. I've learned over the years, as I get older I need to be able to find facilities when She calls. I no longer take Gracie out on the River Walk or other places that I can't find relief when I need it. Live and learn and roll with the punches. Life is Good I received a email from Amtrak concerning my request for a pass because I worked for Santa Fe Railroad. I hired out February 1971 and Amtrak began in March of 1971. I had 32 years of service and anyone who hired out prior to Amtrak taking over, and having 25 years of service can ride on their home road. Which means that I can ride from Los Angeles to Chicago for free. I'm only looking to go from Victorville, Ca. to Albuquerque, NM to visit my cousins who like me are getting older. I won't have that many more times to see them, so I hope to make a trip sometime in the next few months. I've rambled on enough so I'll say Goodbye Remember Life is Good and God is Great |
