30 Day Blogging Challenge Prompt 18

Fun fact: Thanksgiving 2025 is also my 46th birthday.

I'm thankful the kids have turned out to be happy and successful young adults that don't live at home but still stop every now and then to chat.
I'm thankful our medical marijuana farm is turning a profit and we are able to travel.
I'm thankful I was able to build Mother a cottage on the back forty since Shady Pines burned down.
I'm thankful that Hubby still madly loves me and doesn't mind my silvery tresses.
I'm thankful I finally published all my poetry to share with my family.
Finally, I'm thankful I'll be celebrating by 25th WdC Anniversary soon and have learned so much here.

30 Day Blogging Challenge Prompt 17

My house is never quiet. It's easy to be lured into a false sense of silence, but listening closely reveals the hidden truth of noises everywhere. The hum of the air conditioner is just noticeable. In the distance, church bells mark the hour with a soft tinkle. From the kitchen, I can hear the faucet drip in a hypnotic pattern. My windows rattle as a dump truck rumbles its way down the road. By far the best sound is the gentle rustle of leaves as the wind carries them through the sky.

We're doing some career exploration today. The kids took an interest assessment and the results were kind of cool. It gets into a lot of detail and gives them a learning path to follow. Ravyn's top match was Art Therapist and Zachary's Clinical Psychologist. I'm glad I had them do this, it really gives them a chance to see what the world offers and what kind of education, skills, experience, and abilities they need to focus on. I took it as a lark, and here's a brief rundown on my top 3 best matches:

Proofreader/Copy Editor-
Education: Bachelors Degree
Outlook: Below Average- New job opportunities are less likely in the future.
Hourly Wage: 17.77

Certified Personal Chef/Private Household Cook-
Education: Postsecondary certificate
Outlook- Average- New job opportunities are likely in the future.
Hourly Wage: 15.42

Wardrobe Supervisor/Costume Attendant-
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Outlook: Bright- New job opportunities are very likely. Expected to grow much faster than average in the future.
Hourly Wage: 22.07

What a mix!
