Success to me is often simply waking up in the morning. A truly successful day occurs when my head hits the pillow at the end of my day. I really don't think it has to be measured in obtainable goals although I can see where one may feel that way. We're taught fro childhood to "divide and conquer" and "to be all that we can be". Is that really success or is that ego? I am 55 years old. My average US income is less than $9,000.00 per year. That places me somewhere around 450% below the poverty level. Yet I like who i am today and I am liked by others. To me success is simply accepting me for me.
I like your entry, there are plenty of good news stories out there and they all involve kindness, if only more people would decide to be kind instead of hateful.
LOL. If my spirit non-animal is a filing cabinet, then it's busted piece of junk! You should see my laptop desktop. It includes 31 (hey, just like Baskin Robbins) screenshots, some dating back to 2015, from projects I never finished. Plus a couple of dozen Word documents, downloaded music and video files, unfiled folders, etc.
My mother was in college when that famous episode of the Ed Sullivan show aired, she said there was nothing that happened in my lifetime that quite compared to it, she couldn't explain why it was so special only that at the time, she just knew it was.
I've lost touch with 2 people from high school. I don't know if I'd know anyone/still be in contact with anyone who went there when I did. I might try it at least once though.
