I completely agree. Encouragement and support affect us in such a way that we may step out of our comfort zone and try something we normally wouldn't. WDC has been a huge part of that.
I think I would have liked to know more about the Herb Garden? Was it instructive or just entertaining? I'm from the USA so I don't recognized a lot of these but I have an interest in the Thomas Trains because I collect them.

I'm with you all the way Lostwordsmith. My past friends are all from out of school. One friend I have who was in school, I met out of school and she was two years older than me. Over the years we have stayed in contact on and off. I never classed her as a school friend because we were in different years and didn't meet at school. I'm not in contact with anyone else who I met at school and don't want to.
Since I've never attended a class reunion, I'm not sure what the attracts people to them. I've reconnected with some of my high school acquaintances on Facebook. I'm happy to keep the Facebook connection without going back to Oklahoma to meet them face to face.
