My first blog
This is my first ever blog, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing *Shock*. I guess I'll learn as I go along.

I can't believe how long it's been since I've written anything in my blog. I guess it's fair to say I'm rubbish at blogging. But, now I have an idea that is percolating in my mind, and I want to get all of your thoughts on it before I create anything.

I am thinking of running a Beatles Extravaganza in June. It would be a different song from the Fab Four every day throughout the month to use as a prompt for either a poem or a song. You wouldn't have to write every for every prompt, although if you wanted to win the main, big prize you would need to.

I would create five new, super-exclusive MBs for the challenge. John, Paul, Ringo, George and All Four. You could get the individual merit badges for each week of entries, and the main All Four badge would go to everyone who completes every prompt.

It might sound like a lot of writing, but I'm only looking for short stories (1,000 words or fewer, and poems of 40 lines or fewer). And, I know, The Beatles will not be everybody's cup of tea, but I will try to include a variety of songs and styles, some with each of them sining lead vocals.

Whether you use the lyrics, music or harmonies as inspiration is up to you. I just want to provide some inspiration for writing. Personally, music inspires me a lot.

Anyway, so what I would like to know is if anyone would be interested in taking part. I don't want to spend 2.5 million gps commissioning merit badges if no one wants to do this. There would also be additional prizes along the way and a bigger prize for the overall winners. I haven't figured out all the details yet.

OK. Let me know. What do you think? Does this interest you?
