My thoughts released; a mind set free

These pages contain my thoughts, from meandering ideas and persuasions to deep cerebrations and serious mentations.

Why, for what purpose? To release my mind and set creativity free. Somewhere inside the constraints of my mind dwells a writer, a poet, an artist who paints with words. In here I release those constraints and set the artist free.

Perhaps, lost somewhere in the depths of thought, is a story or a poem, waiting to be written.

, I will have to do set up a folder for Pre-Written Blog Entries. As for excuses, I could come up with a few, like my dog ate it, but since the laptop isn't chewed, I don't think it would fly.

We're thinking of getting two 100 Watt panels and a DC to AC (not the band) converter so we can also use our electric coffee pot. It's faster than percolating it on the stove, and it doesn't heat up the camper as much.

I do have a small, portable generator we can bring with, it's more reliable than the squirrels and the dogs don't chase it.

Too bad about that missing blog entry. At least you didn't write one only for the computer to swallow it. Unless you did write and don't remember not saving. That's sometimes a better excuse.

One thing to try is do more than one entry at a time and keep extras offline so all you have to do is copy and paste one each day. It's amazing how much inspiration can overflow then go dormant for quite a while before returning. Use it or lose it, as they say.

Better get a solar panel or a pedal generator for those off-the-grid camps. You can catch squirrels and put them on a wheel like hamsters, but sometimes they won't cooperate.

I hadn't even thought about that! Luckily this is the one I've been working in towards my badge. I agree, it's good to reward interactions and it's great to get more comments instead of just likes.

You need to specifically write an entry in the blog chosen for your Blog tab on your bio to count for the MB. It can't be just any old book entry. (There's probably a nicer way to say it, but I'm a little befuddled this afternoon) Anyway, hope that tip helps. I love the opportunity to comment and earn it... Good to reward interactions. Blogs don't get enough visibility IMHO.

It sounds very picturesque where you live

I live in a City but you don't have to travel far to get to the Countryside so it's the best of both Worlds.

The forecast here is very unpredictable - you can never really trust it (although usually there's probably a 95% chance it is going to rain that day)

I'm glad that you weren't allowed to sink into total despair. That path is loaded with pitfalls that would just be like quicksand to oneself.

Yes, in general Minnesota has a lot of rural and small town areas, but we also have some bigger cities and urban areas. I live in a very rural area (forests, lakes, some agricultural areas) and love it. I have also lived in the Twin Cities and St. Cloud areas (metro) and didn't like it.

I live in an area that seems to often be narrowly missed by storms, but when the do hit it seems we get the worst of what they have.

Forecasts are especially precarious near the edges of storms. Sometimes I'll see rain in the forecast, then watch thunderclouds pass a mile north or south.

No Way!

How is this even possible? There has to be a mistake! Is it something with the upcoming, and always dreaded time change? Did some fiendish creature of the night creep in while I was sleeping and delete it? There has to be some kind of explanation—there's just no way I could have forgotten.

I have been diligent about writing in my blog, one or the other, everyday. But, somehow there is no entry for yesterday! Somehow, I missed the message in my email reminding me to make an entry. Somehow I messed up! What can I say? "Todd Gammit anyway!"

On the bright side, The StoryMaster

, in his infinite wisdom, grants us a badge for both comments and entries, so my streak is preserved. It is for this very reason I'm pleased that blog comments count.

This time I can honestly say, I have no excuse. But with the warmer weather arriving, it won't be long and I'll be busy working on the HiLo camper again. I also have some work to do in the mobile tent (pop-up camper). I mean well, but when I get working on something, I tend to get lost in my work and often don't stop until it's dark, or my wife makes me. By then, I'm tired and just not up to blogging.

We'll also be camping, likely remote camping in the mobile tent with no electric, which means I won't be able to bring and charge my laptop; this results with me doing very little typing for my Writing.Com activities as my fingers are too fat to type on my phone and tablet (I'm seriously thinking about getting a buetooth keyboard). So, for now, while time is on my side, I really need to focus on blogging daily.
