She sat down at her old wooden desk, pen at the ready. Her thoughts raced. What shall I write today? Tilting her head to the side, a small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth before enveloping her delicate face. The purple ink began to fill the once blank sheet, each stroke a labor of pure joy as the words flowed from her mind, her heart, her very soul.
My Dreams...
to write of romance and endless love
to love without boundaries
to learn from past mistakes
to laugh with all my heart
to be the woman I am meant to be
SandraLynn I swear it's like we're surrounded by negativity. The only way to turn it around is to start with yourself, so I'm choosing that route. Let's hope it works!
JACE I love how you haven't aged me since 2008! Why that's fantastic. I'll take it.
Running a business is not an easy endeavor. I had mine for 32 years. I never considered doing anything else, so I was never in the position to sell. But I did go through the down-turns and worries. That was enough.
I wish you the best in all your business endeavors.
Days like yours makes me glad I'm retired. I'm sorry for your troubles, Miss T.
Come to think of it, I guess I was pretty lucky--I didn't really have terrible days. And if I had a troublesome client, I could finish up the project and move on.
I grew up on the border. My friends and family could be devastated if Ontario pulls the plug. Michigan? You probably have the longest border along with Alaska, but it's the economy... Here in Montana, almost all foreign exports are from Canada. What should Canada do? Join the EU? Which they could if it weren't for Brexit. I should have sympathy for Trumpers; but, I don't.
Kit it's funny you mention wisdom. As a kid, you hear some of them and think wth kind of crazy is that. Grow up, and it's like spot on! And makes you sit back and think.
Lyn's a Witchy Woman Irish used to call me snickelfritz. Everything says it's German on the internet, so now I'm wondering where he picked it up. And I'm thinking it's from his Army days during WWII. I mean, 💯 Irish boy from smalltown Ohio. If not, then my grandfather was not as innocent as he claimed to be
Ah, I was always fascinated with the Ides of March. Maybe it was because it fell the day after my birthday.
I like that it was initially associated with something positive, like the full moon. I've always been a stargazer and fascinated with the moon cycle, so I never saw a full moon as a reason to be wary. At one point, I did have a decent telescope and watched the stars, constellations, and moon's progression.
Once Shakespeare added the line Beware of the Ides of March in Julius Caesar, the meaning shifted toward doom and gloom. It seems as if most associate the Ides with Ceasar. I get it; Shakespeare is well-known, and we all know how life turned out for Ceasar, poor dude.
Since the Ides fall on Saturday, I will still be riding the birthday high and choosing to stay positive rather than let in all that negativity the Ides have turned into.
So from me, a soon to be 57 year old Be Dancing on the Ides of March
