It's shining amongst the rest...
"this is it!" I told myself as i clutched onto my bag with trembling fingers as i walked past the huge gates.

"I made it! I made it!" I felt like screaming, To fling my bag to the perfect grass spot at the side and perform a cartwheel to leviate the huge and immense feeling of joy swelling within me.

Everything felt like a dream.

I was leaving my counrtyside to study in a prestigious school! It made my family proud.

I renember walking through the train station, the posters, flyers everywhere in the jubilant city. Smiling people, cluster of girls in high school uniforms...

Life was going to be exciting! I couldn't wait!
Deeper, and deeper i walked into the building, awed in how intricate and detailed every corner is furnished and design.

But the place felt a bit empty...
There was a cleaner woman, some office people, but everything was hushed and silenent...

Fearing the worst, i took out the map mom had given me.
I approached the cleaner woman and asked, "Am i here?" Pointing to the red circle on the tattered map.

The cleaner woman gravely shaked her head and said in a raspy voice in reply," My dear girl, you are holding the map the wrong way."

I raised my eyebrows and stared at the map she was holding in disbelief.

My goodness! I was at the far end of where i was supposed to go!

"Thank you! I have to be going!" I bowed my head slightly to her and ran out the building...

Life, was going to be interesting in this city.
