Hi! My name is Christy, I'm 28 years old and I live in tornado alley. Once my daughter is a little older I'll be going back to school to pursue my Psych degree.
I've recently been through some major stuff and I want to share it with others. There's nothing like the turmoil of almost dying and having a premature baby in the ICU for eleven weeks.
I had Eclampsia, which is described in more detail in my entries. Typically the doc will test for Eclampsia at 32 weeks or so, but I was struck with it at 29 weeks, so no one had any idea I even had it. So all you pregnant ladies out there: If you have a severe headache, go to the ER immediately. I had a severe headache the night before I had the seizures, which was a warning that my blood pressure was too high.
My daughter was so colicky, I can't even express how miserable we both were. Twenty-two years later...I'd take those days back in a minute, if I could. lol
Sleep when you can... It seems never-ending when you living it, I know, but it will be over before you know it.
Very interesting story. Cadence is a fighter....must be the red hair.
I can only imagine the stress of living through this situation, but I do know that men handle and process emotional things in very different ways. I think men shut down almost, to try to keep from going to pieces under heavy stress. This is going to be a huge adjustment period....hang in there. Things will turn back right-side up eventually. You're in my thoughts...
Ok, I have now read every entry. Very riveting. I finally figured out that I didn't need to go all the way to the first entry to start reading, and that this starts from here down. Anyhoo...very touching and emotional reading.
I truly will keep your family in my thoughts and sometimes getting things out of our heads and purged onto paper, or a journal, is the only thing that keeps us sane. I think you can find a lot of support here at this site. There's not been one thing that I've been through or stumbled across, that someone on here hasn't been through or is going through the same. Support in these times is very important.
