I remember hearing about the couple who owned Macy's I think. They were in their 60s I believe and she wouldn't leave without him and he wouldn't leave. So sad.

Yup, the Garden of Eden didn't end well, but only because our kind fell under the spell and/or advice of the wrong one.
Like you, I love roses, too, and a lot. When we had a much larger property, once upon a time, I had a rose garden in it. Once, on one rose bush, I grafted five different kinds of roses and they all bloomed for a season or two, but later on, the too-harsh winters of the North did away with that bush. At least, I have the memory of it, now.

It is very difficult when a loved one passes on. I think you are doing a good job of handling this by allowing yourself time to heal.

Megan. Even though you'll always remember your mother, you'll adjust to living with this grief, eventually.

Your cat sleeps in the closet too? I thought that was just my cat being odd! She got in once when I wasn't looking, and I closed the door and walked away. Didn't see her for hours and assumed she had gone out. Some time in the afternoon I passed the closet and heard this polite little meow. She had quite happily slept in there all day. I felt like a very bad cat-mom but now she sits by the door and meows to be let in

Garden and Flowers

Prompt: If you look the right way, you can see that the world is a garden. Do you wish the world was a garden and do you like flowers?

I don't see the world as a garden. Some scenery isn't beautiful but I cherish what is beautiful. The Garden of Eden was beautiful and that didn't end well. I love the beautiful things on earth.

I love roses. I enjoy Sweet Williams flowers. Red roses. Pink roses. Lavender roses. Purple. These are my favorites. Flowers brighten up the world and a room. Flowers help comfort us. I wish all the world was a garden and life was perfect.
