This is my blog. It exists currently as a result of someone gifting me for an upgraded membership. It will contain, as most blogs, various opinions, insights, and perhaps, even some knowledge.
I hope...
Even in other relationships this is important. And curable, except when it's the boss, in which case getting another job is the better option. Many a CEO is borderline certifiable psychopath if not sociopath.
I remember the complacency of my Oklahoma friend while a tornado came directly towards us late one night. I stayed up watching the Tulsa t.v. updates; she slept.
I've always found weather interesting.
Here, we had $8 million damage from a 'cloud burst' last year. The sirens did NOT go off until after and then the emrgency person said that everyone should've been lisiteing to the radio anyways ...
... like this is a college town and it was 8 a.m. ... on a SUNDAY morning ...
Oh yeah, and we had several tornadoes, torrential rain, nasty lightning, and all the tornado sirens went off early Friday afternoon before Rachael graduated!!! And get read for a good laugh...
Rachael got worried, started whining in a high pitched voice, and hid under a blanket. Does that "brave" girl's reaction remind you of anyone? Anyone???
It always amazes me how wasteful and short-sighted we are. Americans (Oklahomans too) will spend money out the wazoo oo-ing and ah-ing about the ruins of Rome and Greece, the 500 year old stone cottages of England, the quaint hovels of Ireland and then come back home and tear everything down. To build better? I've got swamp land in Texas County to sell ya if you believe that!
For those who might be wondering...we got no storms here. I mean, nada . But that's the way it is in Guymon, America. "Feast or famine" as they say. But it is sad about Greensburg, Kansas. I've passed through it many times. What a bummer...
Hi big brother. I'm surprised you didn't mention the storms. To any who read this: he is usually so obssessed with all weather of any kind he geekily watches THE WEATHER CHANNEL until anyone in the vicinity tries to hang themselves with available fabrics.
Hey, it's what you get when you become a member of the same site as me! I'm the little sister and I take my role seriously. Always have.
No mention of storms. Did you-all get lucky? We're still waiting for some thunderboomers of worse tonight/this morning. I'm not fond of tornado watches that go to 4 a.m. I respect the weather ... I just don't trust it.
The Clydesdales came through here last year if I remember right.
Too bad I'm missing Oklahoma's centennial. I'll have to email friends in Tahlequah to see how old I.T. is handling it.
