I do not know where to begin with this description. The time period is from 0 to now. Please don't ask how long that is. I am sure with certain clues, you will be able to figure that out.
I am writing this on my favorite old computer at home. I have a computer room that doubles as a retreat for a few of my pets when they want to be alone.
I will cover mostly current thoughts. I hope to add some pictures as I have seen in a blog. I think that to do this sharing will take a lot of work, but the pictures I have seen are well worth it.
Occasionally, I might review a flashback in mylife. I have times when I just roll that special even around in my mind until it has every possible facet examined. Usually this time is to try to figure out a "what if" scenario.
If some of my items have no zest to it feel free to say so. I think that after I have some a few trial runs, then the real me will be out for all of the world to see. Luck you! As the saying goes, "Come with me and the best is yet to be."
I accidentally clicked on liked. So the like comment should be only 1. I will try to find the way to correct it.
Thank you for the like. I try to write about something special to me. I like doing something unique. These prompts are good and comment worthy. Have a nice week.
Wow! That is some list. You have lots to blog about. Can't say I have anything on my list to compare to yours. I am interested in the Olympic sport, what have you done with your degree in audiology (music?)?
Which president did you meet and for how long?
I will go from here over to your bio and see what things you have written. I write mostly poetry and was away for awhile so I have nothing new posted except on my blog. I am hoping to get back in to poetry.
There are so many tasty flavors of muffins. But my husband and I enjoy cranberry orange muffins. The combination of these two fruits is suitable for my tastebuds. You have the main muffin that is orange flavor. Spread throughout the muffin I the small cranberries that are juicy and sweet. The person who makes this muffin at our favorite shopping store is a Pro in muffin making skills.
What I think is comfy is to be sitting in my recliner with the view facing our pond that is behind our house. Some geese and ducks swim in this pond.
May favorite dessert is anything with chocolate. I try to buy something that is not
expensive.
When my husband and I left Houston to come to our home in Oklahoma, we brought a Siberian husky, and 5 cats. No one of our pets was going to be left behind with neighbors, or a shelter. You can’t do that to pets you consider family. The arrived in our new home and allowed our pets to sniff and wander around until bedtime. The animals adjusted slowly and with few altercations.
Our dog, Balto, loved treats. One night, as we were watching TV, Balto barked at our front door. We wondered if we had a late delivery. He went to the door and started barking excitedly. When Stan went to the door, he checked a camera we had there. No one was showing,
Balto sniffed and barked again. Stan opened the door and immediately closed it.
“There is a gas smell outside,” he remarked excitedly.
We later found out that men who were working on a new house had accidentally, broke a gas pipe.
We called 911 to get the Fire Department out to alert someone to fix the leak. It took a while but the pipe was fixed and the air slowly became safe. Balto had saved us and won the day.
He had earned the milk bone treat that we had waiting for him when we got the all clear. We let Balto sniff at the door one more time and went to bed knowing that if the pipe had another problem, we would know. Balto was on duty 24/7 and we would be the first to know.
Here ye! Here ye!
AI has arrived.
It is a baby from the work of Alan Turing in the 20th century.
The idea is based on his work and as of today can seem to have intellectual processes.
I have always enjoyed working on a computer but to have a system that can think as well or better than me is mind boggling. I guess it can be helpful but some words have many connotations.
The point is if this is for me or not. I think I would like to be considered the sole designer of anything I hand in. It then would be the real me. I am sure that these days the professors are wondering how a student whose work was average in the past, submitted something that was beyond their past efforts. Their doubts might have to be investigated.
I think that there may be appropriate times. That might be very rare. So let’s get this straight: If I had an assignment, the directions or rules must say “No AI,” to be clear.
I like doing things myself, not faking it.
I see a book and I have to have it. They all sound like something that would enrich my knowledge or entertain my senses.
My favorite non-fiction books are the Writer’s Idea Book by Jack Heffron, The Cabin at the End of the Train, by Michael V. Ivanov, Human Lie Detector by Jason Hanson and Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer. I read bits and pieces every day. There is one on Kindle I have about the process of grounding mats. What a joy to use my phone for reading.
Some restaurants take a long time to bring an order so why not use the time, especially since my spouse is reading on his phone also.
I am reading for fiction the very first Pulitzer winning novel that my spouse got for me. I started reading Pulitzer winners when I was in college. I have read about a little more than 50% on the list. They are all worth the time. BTW it is His Family by E. Poole.
Reading is fun. What I see for writing my own book, is that the work is not easy but well worth it.
So have a good read everyone.
Tilly had a strange feeling in that the dream that she was wanting to come true would have a change. Her mother knew that when her daughter did, something unexpected would soon show up. Tilly tried to shove it out of the way, but with no luck.
The crickets stopped chirping. The mosquitoes were not around. And slight wind seemed to have disappeared.
Then out of no where, there appeared a private who stopped walking and came to attention in front of Bud.
“Private John Ballard, Sir:” he announced with a thin, nasal voice and a dignified salute.
“At ease private.” responded Dr. Bud Graham.”What do you want? Is there a patient that needs help?”
The private relaxed and gave Bud the message in a while envelope.
Bud opened the envelope and read the message. His relaxed happy stance seemed to change into one of irritation.
“What is it Bud?” asked Tilly as she gently put her hand on the arm that had the message. Her smile changed to soft concern and curiosity.
“I have been ordered to go to Major Sharpe’s office tomorrow at Oh Eight hundred for new orders.”
“Yes,” whispered Tilly. “But isn’t he….”
“Yes he is the assignment officer. He has the nickname of ‘Hard hat Harold’. He paused. “Wherever one goes, is all work and no play.”
“But you do great work here. Why would they send the best doctor to a place that….”
“Yes Tillly. I feel that my work is a credit to the unit.” He looked up to the galaxies and stars.” And continued. “And I don’t think that it is the ultimate time to panic.” He looked at her and smiled.
“But where in the universe needs a doctor.” She stopped talking to think a minute. “Maybe they might need a nurse or two.”
“If they did, the private would have an envelope for you.” He answered with a small movement his head.” Let’s go to that nice seafood restaurant you liked to think this over after we have finished dinner.”
“I really don’t think I’m hungry now.” She watched the private go around the corner of the supply building.”
“Worrying will not change orders, if this is what it means.” He tried to put his ‘I’ll put you in a good mood soon’ smile on his face but he knew in his heart that the changes would be the first domino to go down in a list of changes he did not expect.
