I do not know where to begin with this description. The time period is from 0 to now. Please don't ask how long that is. I am sure with certain clues, you will be able to figure that out.
I am writing this on my favorite old computer at home. I have a computer room that doubles as a retreat for a few of my pets when they want to be alone.
I will cover mostly current thoughts. I hope to add some pictures as I have seen in a blog. I think that to do this sharing will take a lot of work, but the pictures I have seen are well worth it.
Occasionally, I might review a flashback in mylife. I have times when I just roll that special even around in my mind until it has every possible facet examined. Usually this time is to try to figure out a "what if" scenario.
If some of my items have no zest to it feel free to say so. I think that after I have some a few trial runs, then the real me will be out for all of the world to see. Luck you! As the saying goes, "Come with me and the best is yet to be."
Thank you to Soldier Mike for your read and special comments. I like the mention that the acronym is something personal. I would need a little help with X's or Qs. I had a Quincy in my class one time. He wasn't quick or quiet. I knew that he asked a lot of questions so 'Questioning' seemed to fit. He did not mind, and he enjoyed the word. If a person had a short name then I allowed the student to use their last name. I always wanted my students to have a good day.
These Blog writings are thought provoking and fun.
So since it is Spring, let me wish you and your family a nice Springtime. I was glad to see the last snow we had melted. I can take longer walks and go outside to write more.
Take care !
Soldier Mike
Thank you for your read and response on this blog. I usually keep my t-shirts for a long time. Then when they do not have to good as new look I either use them as undershirts to become a layer in winter or pajama wear. I have shirts that I bought when I went to different cities for the U. S. National Fencing tournaments that I qualified for. The older ones/shirts I keep as a way to remember the where and when I went.
As for the jeans, I seem to have gained a little weight since I retired from my sport. You can't lose it if you don't burn those calories. One cannot fence in jeans. A fencer must wear all white. White jeans are really hard to find. So the blue jeans are part of my travel ensemble.
My jeans are usually blue, elastic waist and not tapered in the legs. I grew up in the country so that style reminds me of home. I did not live on a farm but tried to help with yard work. Weeding flowerbeds in particular. It helped me see nature and find special animals. (baby birds, lizards, snakes, caterpillars, and such.)
Well I have shared enough and thank you for your reaction.
Have a nice day.
Happy Spring time.
Picking the right clothing can be a challenge, especially if, as you say, your preferred size regularly becomes unavailable. I have enough t-shirts to last the rest of my life (and I've owned some more than half my life), so jeans are my most "frequent" purchase; as I'm no longer part of the rough-and-tumble set, they last quite a while. Color selection's easy: black, tan or basic blue go with anything and support my severely limited fashion sense.
I accidentally clicked on liked. So the like comment should be only 1. I will try to find the way to correct it.
Thank you for the like. I try to write about something special to me. I like doing something unique. These prompts are good and comment worthy. Have a nice week.
Wow! That is some list. You have lots to blog about. Can't say I have anything on my list to compare to yours. I am interested in the Olympic sport, what have you done with your degree in audiology (music?)?
Which president did you meet and for how long?
I will go from here over to your bio and see what things you have written. I write mostly poetry and was away for awhile so I have nothing new posted except on my blog. I am hoping to get back in to poetry.
Day 3788 of March 26, 2025 CRAFTS
Having a creative craft is a lovely outlet for your imagination. It is a positive way to take one’s mind off of problems or stress. Each of the ways that was mentioned in Day 3788 are ones that can require preparation, planning and follow through. But the word that I feel is the best to describe my feelings, is creative.
Creativity is one that can bring out talents that one thought they did not have. Creativity can carry over into other areas for children or students in school that give the creator happiness, or the “look what I can do!” feeling. For students who are weak in other areas, creating something for a contest is so rewarding. That look or smile on their face is worth their time.
I do not paint well. Even the paint by numbers I do look amateurish. I do not sew or crochet well. But my embroidery is pretty good. When I was in college, I used spare time to embroidery gifts for friends who were getting married or having babies. The only problem is when I ran out of thread, I had to hurry to find a matching color before the event occurred.
My last craft, is writing poetry. I guess if I had a prompt on my mind, the poem was easy to do. If I could not think of something, then I would read the newspaper to see a significant event that would work.
Now I would write something nice or funny to friends for their birthday. Acronyms are good to do. I write for my own pleasure sometimes. And then there might be some phrase that I just might want to get out of my mind. I would love to be published. I know that I should read other works of poetry, but there is real life, with real work at home. So I just might be satisfied with fun, relaxation and letting my mind be happy.
Crafts could be CREATIVE RELAXATION ARTS FOR THE SOUL. (Catchy ain’t it!)
