My writing.com blog...I'll change the description when I figure out what I'm doing. :P
Just wetting my feet and trying to set up my blog. I just got home from work and my brain refuses to function on an intellectual level right now .Bah!

Work was a real bitch today. First of all, I'm about 15 hours into quitting smoking. I knew it was going to be rough but I am mentally prepared to deal with it this time around. That's part of the reason I'm writing lately...I have been carrying a notebook with me for weeks. In addition to the poems and stories I like to mess with, I've been tracking my cigarettes and trying to fight the triggers that make me want to smoke. Ugh again...I'm so light headed and confused today, so this entry is gonna be all over the place.
At first I thought I was seeing today's customers as fucking assholes just because I've quit smoking. Then I realized that I was actually in a really GOOD mood today. Thinking positive, whistling, singing along with the Xmas music at work, etc. The customers really were assholes today. None of them could read the sale signs. I kept getting complaints like, "Well, there's a red men's sweater that looks JUST LIKE this WOMEN'S red sweater, only the men's sweater is on sale for $10.99, and the women's is $30. It's on sale because it's red, too, right?" WTF? What goddamn planet are these people from?
I have so much more to let out but my dog requires some playtime now. He's not taking no for an answer. I'm going to play catch for a while and try to relax. I might be back to update later, just to keep tabs on my level of sanity.

Thanksgiving was pretty good. Thomas and I drove from State College to Pittsburgh to spend the day with my parents. His family is in Texas and we're pretty much broke, so my family gets stuck with us for most holidays. My parents went all out this year. They always have a ton of food, but this time they made an entire seperate meal just for me and Thomas to take home with us. Our fridge is now bursting at the seams with 12 pounds of turkey and all the yummy turkey day side dishes to go with it.
We left my parents' place around 5p.m. on Thursday because we both had to be at work unbelievably early on Black Friday.
Friday and Saturday were a total fucking blur. We were packed with bargain hunters. Some of the customers were friendly, but most were willing to cut your throat to get a deal on a TV. I will never understand why people will line up in front of a store at 3a.m. just to purchase something. I don't care how good the deal is...if you're standing in line freezing your ass off for 3 hours just to get your hands on some material possession, it's time to see the shrink. :P
It's Sunday and I'm getting ready to walk out the door for work. I'm hoping today is calm. Probably wishful thinking.

I want to say thank you to whomever upgraded my account for 3 months. I'm still learning the ropes of this site and logging in to find out I'm an upgraded member was awesome. :)
