This journal will probably be mostly about new writing ideas and discoveries, with the odd other thing thrown in with it.
I'll do my best to keep writing here regularly, to keep the creativity going and keep me in the habit of writing. Plus if I keep coming back everyday to update my blog I should end up writing other stuff on writing.com too... I will trick my imagination into writing if I have to! (hopefully I won't need to trick it, but just in case ).
Yes, I too have been sucked into the fanfiction haze. And you can't stop!! What were you reading? Gee, I love finding another addict.
How is scriptfrenzy going for you? In my writing group (of two), the other member is doing that, while I am doing another nano. So far for the month, I'm at about 11thousand words...out of the 50k. *sigh*
I'm back!! I was doing really good at reviewing toward the end of last month, then when I left for a bit, I realized that I have been spending way too much time on here, and not doing any actual writing--so now I'm trying to change that! Good luck with one a day!!
I am now officially a slacker--already the 3rd day of the year and I haven't written anything but a couple of blog entries and comments!
Personally, I didn't like the Wheel of Time series so much. Have you read Salvatore's work? Love that man. Another spectacular fantasy book is the Deed of Paksennarrion by Elizabeth Moon--absolutely outstanding. I could go on forever here, so I'll stop now.
As for typos ... I can either worry about spelling or write. I can't do both. It's not that my spelling is bad. It's the constant checking that kills the flow. I have lovely handwriting too, but my sketches look like cat scratches at times. Thankfully we have spell-check and computers!
I love the creative process! I think you deserve a month off--it will do you good. and think about this--the same bug that makes you create an entire calendar is probably the one that prompted Tolkien to create an entire language...
