Growing is so much fun! I don't think you can lose yourself again if what you learnt is true. Unlearning the truth is very difficult, if you have truly accepted it that is.
Buying your own home sounds very exciting and quitting smoking is an impressive feat. Don't worry about timimg. If now is when you feel like doing it, go with the flow. You seem to be doing well so far, I hope the worst is over.
I know what you mean by it getting harder, I quit for a year and started again about 6 months ago, now I've found out I'm pregnant I'd like to quit again, but can't, I'm down to 4 a day now.

The worst part is this is the fifth time quitting. The last time was for nine years. Hard to believe I would begin again but I did. I really think every time you start again the addiction becomes harder to overcome. I certainly don't remember crying over it the last time.
My good friend Lee, who I've known since high school, (32 years), said "It's like leaving a bad relationship". True words for me.
