The bugs are eating me up, but they still are mild compared to the Oklahoma Summer horror. Saw a praying mantis this week. It was about 3 inches long, so not very big. I still remember the 8 inch walking-stick I met in Teresita 3 summers ago.
I am intrigued about the writer. How does she actually do it? I don't give up my rights to my poems, bu once published they will only be considered by mags that republish stuff. Most don't. Perhaps I am missing something in your explanation?
I set my sights on 30K but I won't make that either. I'm writing scenes, whatever hits my fancy. It's not much effort to write; I just need to make the time and focus. Going numb recently and that doesn't help.
