May my opinions gather wind under their wings and fly, perchance to soar. |
I could make this a fuller opinion piece but the news/fake-news surrounding Emperor Trump and King Covid is so uncertain I leave this here: I responded to "Whatever has happened" Elisa: Snowman Stik Bleak but reasonable assessment. I guess I'm not surprised that I basically agree with you (for lots of reasons). I've told people, "I hope he gets good and sick for a few days." Is that a shock? Shouldn't be. Most people do get ill occasionaly. Most suffer personal heartbreak, poverty, random disabilities, accidents, calamities at some point in their life. I will flat out tell people that it wasn't fun being homeless for two years but I did learn something! Just like I encouraged them to go abroad on exchange programs after I got back from a miserable year in Costa Rica. Because? I learned something. I could still be sitting in that miserable blue-collar suburb I grew up in; my sister lives in the family home. But I'm not. I'm miserable in Montana now. What's the common denominator in all my misery? Me. So. Let the emperor stay ill for a few days. I don't think it will improve his empathy but it may tone down all the fake medical news and covid-deniers. And after-all this is a republic not a monarchy. 667 |
