I am a little girl’s tee shirt with a rip on the sleeve
I’m worn and used or lived in, I always try to please
The little girl wears me while playing ball in the park
I feel loved and I know she will care for me even in the dark.
I feel the warmth of her body pressed against me
Her sweat drenches me and I am overwhelmed you see
The rip on the sleeve will get mended today
And as a shirt, I love my owner I say.
