Losing Your Voice Open in new Window. (13+)
A comedic look at the experience of losing one's voice. (My FIRST item on WDC.)

The prompt is "What would you do if you lost your voice?

I have lost my voice before and it was no fun. I came down with a case of tonsilectomy when I was in my late 20"s. The doctor had to remove them. I was so sore I could barely talk. I was able to get the words out but I sounded a lot like a bullfrog. I croaked my words more than I talked. I stammer a lot as it is and that is due to a speech impediment. I do not make a good public speaker.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Prompt: "Use these words in your blog today: crimson, denied, rage, brown, body."

Crimson is the color I turn when I embarrass myself. Sometimes I turn that color when I hear other people's stupidity, but then it is usually a combination of embarrassment and anger.Denied is the response I get when I ask God for something I don't need. Rage is what I feel at the new outbreaks of COVID-19. If people would just use a little common sense! Brown is the color my body turns on days like today if I get too much sun. It will turn crimson first.

Blog City image small Prompt: "Discuss this quote “There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.”
― Laurell K. Hamilton"

I agree. I think we all carry those psychological scars that will never go away. Forgiveness helps us get beyond them.
