On Death and Resurrection

People don't really die of a broken heart!
Do they?

It was an excruciating death
that ripped my breath
out of the lungs of my passion,
sliced my heart
into small consumable pieces,
and buried me
in the salt crypt
of my tears.

I rose
out of the tomb of my sorrows.

I was reborn
into a new existence,
and resurrected
into a wiser dimension,
with a deeper knowledge of love
and of myself.
