Just some crazy things that really happen in this life of mine.

I live in the Midwest. So the stay at home order hasn't hit our area...yet. Instead we have Health Mandates. No public gatherings over 10 people, work at home if you can, restaurants and theaters are closed, essential businesses stay open...etc. You all know the rules.

I'm dealing with people everyday. I own my tax company. I also work part time at a gas station. It drives me nuts to hear people still saying the virus pandemic is just a flash in the pan...the flu is worse.

Okay people...there's a vaccine for the flu, not Covid-19.. We know how the flu operates, there is a cyclic season when it peaks and when it goes into a dormancy. We know it affects the elderly and immune comprised. We are prepared as we can be for flu season.

We are not prepared for this. I haven't heard, in recent times, that hospitals were so overwhelmed by the flu they were short on beds or equipment to help the ill. I haven't heard of health care workers being afraid of exposure to the flu bug. I don't recall floating hospitals being set up for the flu. And to top it all off we are still guessing how this will play out.

For the people here in the mid west, where we aren't as touched by the virus as New York or California or Louisiana or Washington and other areas (like Michigan), the wave is cresting and it will wash over our area. It's coming from all four directions.

Okay that's what I have to say for now. Thanks for reading
