Say Something
Soundtrack Of My Life

February 22
Say Something - beautiful version with two sisters.

I first heard this song when my marriage was falling apart. I have a hard time expressing myself in times of relationship stress... and it is often hard to Say Something or even vocalize my emotions. There is some guilt about that, but I also know that saying something may have only made things worst... but then maybe not. I did feel like I was losing myself.

In not saying anything, I felt that I just let things go, but I also felt in my heart that there was no way that I could have met my ex's expectations in a way that he would have deemed appropriate, so I said nothing.

There are things I miss about my marriage, but there are also conversations where I felt like LESS, that I don't miss. Alone I have become stronger.... at least I hope so.

The original:

Lyrics:
Say Something
A Great Big World
Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'll be the one, if you want me to
Anywhere, I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I am feeling so small
It was over my head
I know nothing at all
And I will stumble and fall
I'm still learning to love
Just starting to crawl
Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
Anywhere, I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I will swallow my pride
You're the one that I love
And I'm saying goodbye…
