Barely Got Ninety Single Sentences written Yesterday
Barely Got Ninety Single Sentences written Yesterday

All I needed to get written was ninety single sentences to finish the movie Treatment for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And that was what I did. But I barely got them done before the end of my shift. Why did I have so much trouble with writing them yesterday at work?

That is a very good question. There are a couple of answers to it. One reason is work. It wasn’t too busy at work. About average for a Friday. But it was busy. That slowed me down a little with my writing. Not as much as the sun, though. And the worse part about all that was that there was supposed to be no sun yesterday. I hope the weather App is wrong about today too.

The sun came out just as I was heading into work. And it stayed out most of the time during almost the whole first three hours of my shift. I tried to do some writing written during that time. And I did get a few single sentences done. But I had a lot of trouble doing them. After about an hour of trying, I gave up until the sun was down.

It wasn’t just the sun, though. There was also a lot of work that needed to be done during the first three hours. In fact, during that time I thought that it was going to be like all the other Fridays lately. It started slowing down a lot once the sun went down for the day.

After I got home from work, it didn’t get too much better. I did get a couple of more unofficial sections written for my last WDC Short Story. But that all that I got done. It doesn’t look like I’m going to be doing a final WDC Short Story for the month. That means my losing Short Story for last month will be my final one.

That doesn’t mean that I’m not going to finish it. I’m just probably not going to be able to do it in time to enter this contest. After all, there are only a few days left. Of course, I am going to try to finish it in time. But it sure doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to do it.

Today I’m going to start writing my episode one Treatment. But I’m not sure how much of it I’m going to be able to get done. I’m hoping that I will be able to get about half of it written. That’s one hundred and eighty single sentences. I will probably be lucky if I get half that many.

It all depends on how busy it gets at work today. Usually, it’s not too busy on a Saturday. And I hope that it isn’t. But lately, it has been very busy. So busy, that it makes Wednesdays look good. Work isn’t the only thing that might slow me down with my writing today, though. I also need to deal with the weather too. it’s supposed to be raining all day today with thunderstorms during all my shift. That’s why I wrote above about them being wrong again.
