Not a Very Good Yesterday or Today So Far

Unfortunately, I only got seventy single sentences written for my Water Wars movie Treatment. And what makes matters worse, if that’s possible, was that I did four hours of overtime yesterday at work too. Normally, I don’t know why I didn’t get more writing done yesterday. Especially, considering it was Sunday. But this time I think that I do know the reason why. It’s because I watched movies on my cell phone yesterday at work. And when I do that, I end up concentrating on them instead of my writing.

Usually, I can blame work for me not getting too much written there. But I can’t do that this time. At least I can’t do it for the first of my regular shift. That’s because it was a normal Sunday at work yesterday. In fact, it was slightly below normal yesterday. The last four hours of my OT were just the opposite, though. That’s because it was almost non-stop work after that.

Luckily, I got most of my writing written before then. So, it could have been a lot worse. My work did slow me down a lot in those last four hours. But it wasn’t as bad as it was with me watching those movies. In a way, they did help me as a writer. And I think that they did a little. But not enough to justify me not writing more single sentences than I did. There is no excuse for that. Especially, since my Water Wars scriptwriting project is for a television series. And that my movie script is just the beginning of that.

Unfortunately, today hasn’t been too much better. In fact, it has been even worse than yesterday. That’s because I don’t have work that I can blame. The blame is all me. From the time that I woke up today until I started writing this blog entry, I have been doing things that needed to be done. my brother and I have had a lot to do today. and I haven’t had any time to do any writing until now.

What does that mean? It means that I still have about three-fourths of my last WDC Short Story to write. And with the end of the month only slightly over a week away, it doesn’t look like I’m going to get it written in time. The only way I’m going to do that is if I force myself to do it. Which I’m going to start doing after I finish writing and posting this blog entry. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to do it or not. But I have got to try because tomorrow is going to be just as bad as today was. If it’s not even worse than it was today. That’s very hard to believe it could be worse. But it could be.
