Yes and No to My WDC Short Story It’s yes because I got two sections written for my WDC Short Story for this month. But it’s no because the second one needs a major re-write. It’s more than double the Word Count that I need. I’m looking for about one hundred and eighty per section. But this was four hundred and twenty-one. That’s why I consider it a humongous re-write. Normally, that would be a big problem. But when it’s this many it is. at least it is to me. Don’t worry. I can still bring it down to about two hundred. It just means I need to do the re-thinking about it. Which I have done. While thinking about it just before I went to sleep last night like I often do, I remembered how to shorten it. It’s still not going to be easy to do. But it can be done. Unfortunately, it has been a typical Tuesday aka second day off. I have been so busy doing other things that I haven’t had a chance to work on it. I haven’t even been able to do anything when it comes to writing up until now. But that is about to change, though. As soon as I finish posting this blog entry, I’m going to continue with this re-write. Not only do I need to finish this re-write, but I need to do another two or three sections. Three would be the best that I can do. but even one or two more will help me a lot to get this Short Story finished. Especially, if I have any hope of getting one or both of my other short stories done for this month as I planned on doing. I don’t know if I can do that many more sections or not. But I hope that I can get at least one more written. It would mean one section closer to getting them all done. I think that I can do two of them. but I’m not so sure about three. A lot of that might depends on how long it’s going to take to get my second section re-written.
