Not Much Better Yesterday at Work
Not Much Better Yesterday at Work

Yesterday wasn’t as busy as it has been the last four Wednesdays that I have worked this new post. Don’t get me wrong. It was still very, very busy. Just not as busy has it has been. Instead of half of my shift being on my feet, it was about three hours of it. My feet are still sore. But they aren’t as painful as they have been since I started working at this post on Wednesdays.

The first hour of it was very busy. I was on my feet the first twenty minutes before I could sit down. True, a few minutes of that time I spent getting my stuff out to eat, watch television on my cell phone, and write. Eating and watching television I did end up doing. But I didn’t get any writing done on my Water Wars scriptwriting project.

I got the folder, clipboard, and pencils out of my fabric briefcase. But I didn’t open that folder. After that first hour, I figured the rest of the day would be just as bad as the last four, if not worse. Unfortunately, I was wrong about that. I probably could have gotten Act Two single sentences written for the first episode of Water Wars Treatment.

Then again, maybe I wouldn’t have gotten thirty-five single sentences done after all. I did have something that came up that I had to write an Incident Report on. It was work-related. But it didn’t involve me being on my feet. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I was on my feet a lot during the writing on that IR. It was very, very busy during that time. But that isn’t what caused me to need to write it.

There was another problem that I had earlier today. But it wasn’t work-related. It had to do with my WDC Short Story for this month. I wanted to do at least two more parts of this Short Story. But I didn’t even get one completely done. That isn’t exactly true either. I did get the second part done. but I didn’t like what I had written. So, I started it again. I got about half of it done.

Today, I’m going to continue working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project at work and my WDC Short Story after I get home from work. I don’t know if I will get the first episode single sentences Treatment done or not. But I should be very close to doing it. At least I hope that I can. A lot of that depends on how busy it is at work. If it’s a normal Thursday, then I might get two more Acts done. But I don’t think I will get three of them done. And I doubt that I will be able to find the Tag Act too.

Whether I finish it or not, I’m going to get as much of it as I can get done. As for my Short Story, I have no choice. I’m going to need to do at least finish writing the second part of this contest entry. Even if it takes me all night to do it. After all, there are only a few days left to enter this contest.
