Not Too Good for a Saturday

Have you ever heard the phrase ‘bad luck comes in three.’ That is what happened to me because of work. The first thing that happened to me was when I was going into work. There was an accident. No, I wasn’t in it or caused it. But I was the victim of it, though. Everyone kept letting cars in from the left lane. They made it through the light. But those behind them, like me, couldn’t. That isn’t as bad as what almost happened to me. A car forced their way into my lane. Almost cause another accident or forcing me off the road. And what did the cops there do? Nothing, that’s what they did.

The second bad thing that happened to me was at work. In fact, it involved work. Someone did something that they weren’t supposed to do. As a result, I had to write an Incident Report. I know what is going to happen to that IR. Just like all the others, nothing. If anything, I’m going to the blame for them doing it. I shouldn’t. But I probably will. Got blamed for the other IRs.

My third bad thing started out at work. But ended going home from it. About a half hour before the end of my shift a thunderstorm with a heavy downpour started. It was so bad I didn’t leave when I was supposed to. I stayed around hoping it would slow down a least a little bit. But when I realized it was going to be like this all night I got drenched getting to my car. That was bad enough. But coming home it was even worse. Almost every car in the state must have been on the roads that last night. At least it looked like that to me. The heavy rain wasn’t my problem. It was the other crazy driver around me.

With all my bad luck it’s no wonder I only got eighteen scene paragraphs done yesterday. And I should have been able to do at least twenty-five to thirty of them. after all, it was Saturday. And as most Saturday’s it wasn’t very busy at work. So, I had plenty of time to write. I was doing very good up until what happened at work that shouldn’t have happened. That really bummed me out. But I didn’t let it affect my writing. Usually, when I get bummed out like that, I don’t get any more writing done. I’m too mad and angry to write. But that didn’t happen yesterday. It may have slowed me down a little, but not that much.

Hopefully, today at work will be a lot better. It sure can’t get much worse. That’s for sure. I hope that didn’t just jinx me. Probably not, but after yesterday I wouldn’t be surprised. Today I’m going to continue working on my Water Wars movie Treatment. Don’t know how much I’m going to get done today. But I’m hoping it will be about twenty-five to thirty. A lot of that depends on work. If it’s a typical Sunday, I should be able to do it.
