Yesterday Twenty-Two Scene Paragraphs, Today One So Far

I didn’t get too much writing done yesterday at work. At least a lot of other writers and critics will think that it is. But I’m not one of them. True, I only got fifteen regular scene paragraphs plus seven, I think without checking, Establishing Shot paragraphs done. It was at work though. That’s why I consider twenty-two scene paragraphs good writing. Especially, since it was very busy at work yesterday.

The first half of my shift yesterday was very dead. I only had to do a little work at work. So, I had plenty of time to do my writing on episode one of my Water Wars episode Treatment. And I did get a lot of it done during that first half. But shortly after the second have begun it got busy. In fact, it got a lot busier. And I didn’t have too much time to do any more of it. I had some time to work on my latest writing project. But not too much.

True, I probably could have gotten a few more done. It wasn’t that busy. at least enough that I would have ended with twenty-five done instead of twenty-two. I had that much time left of work to do it. But I chose not to do them. Not because I was worried about getting too busy at work. Which I did a little bit. It was because I don’t like uneven numbers when I work. Whether I write them directly onto my laptop or I handwrite it like I am forced to do at work when everyone else can bring their laptops if they want to do it, I like them to be five or ten regular scene paragraphs plus any Establishing Shots.

Writing of Establishing Shots, I’m probably going to be cutting back on them quite a bit. When it came to the movie Treatment I had about five to seven per Act. Especially, in the first half of it because I had three different locations to establish. But in the second half, it went down to about three to five. It’s about three to five with the episode Treatment too so far. That is what I’m probably going to change. I’m going to cut that down to about three to four on the movie Treatment and two to three on the episode Treatments.

Now for the bad news, I haven’t done too much writing done after I got home from work yesterday. I did manage to write another Short Story for The Musicology Anthology Challenge before I went to sleep last night. But that is all I have done up until writing this Blog entry. Why is it I have written more? What is usually the answer to that question? It’s because it was a typical Monday. I have been so busy doing things that needed to be done this is the first chance I have to open my laptop. True, I checked WDC a few times on my cell phone like I always do. But I didn’t do any writing on it.

What am I going to do after I finish with this Blog entry? I plan on continue working on my WDC Short Story for this month. As for if I will do that I can’t answer. Plan on doing it. But you never know with me. I need to get two, three or more sections done today and before I go to sleep tonight. That might not happen, though. I’m going to be very busy tomorrow morning too. I might not have time to do that many tonight. Also need to do Short Story five, Firehouse, for The Musicology Anthology Challenge. Even though I should do it tonight too, I know that I won’t be doing it.
