PROMPT: March 12th - What is your opinion on modern fashion trends? Has your style of dress changed through your life? How do you imagine clothing might change in the future? I have no problems with modern fashion trends. I think, as long as one covers the important areas of the body while keeping warm, a person should be allowed to wear whatever they want. I will compliment a woman's or man's sense of fashion if they were a piece of clothing or color that enhances their appearance; however, I will not criticize another individual's fashion sense no matter what they wear or don't wear. As for my fashion sense, I wear what is comfortable and warm or cool depending on the weather. When I go shopping for clothes, I go to a second hand store and purchase gently used items. With certain exceptions, I don't spend money on new pieces of clothing. Gently uses items work well for me, without making me look like I'm homeless. I have one black formal dress I wear once or twice a year, otherwise I wear either skirts or slacks. I don't attempt to imagine how fashion will look in the future. It doesn't matter to me how it will look in the future. Clothes are necessary to cover the body and keep it warm or cool depending on the season, and to prevent sun damage to the skin. |
