A Bad Yesterday at Work Will Slow Down My Writing a Lot

Another problem has popped up again when it comes to my Water Wars project. Only this time it not because of me. But it is because of work. Yesterday I was told that I couldn’t bring my laptop to work anymore. Of course, I’m the only one who can’t do it. Everyone else can still bring them if they want to do it.

I am still permitted to bring my cell phone to watch movies and television shows. But who knows how long that will last? I give it a week, maybe two at the most, before I’m not allowed to do that. I don’t think they forbid me a cell phone. But they can disallow me the use of it other than as a phone. If I am caught doing something else with it that give them grounds for taking me off this post. Which I’m starting to think is what they are trying to do.

They say that I can still do my writing. But it needs to be by hand now. That probably won’t last very long either. Even if it doesn’t, I’m still very limited with my writing. It will take me at least double the time to do whatever writing I’m working on because I must hand write it at work and then type it into my laptop when I get home from work. But it’s worse than that.

In order to do my handwriting at work, I must start using Overdrive so that I know what I need to write. Especially when it comes to my scriptwriting. Short stories and novels not at much because I write them from scratch. I sort of do that with my scripts too. But I still need the Scene Headings. Which means I still need to save everything to Overdrive so that I can bring them up on my phone when needed.

The only problem is I don’t like Cloud Services. They say that I’m the only has access to what you put in there. But I don’t believe them. Right now, I don’t have any choice but to save my work to Overdrive. The only other choice is to print out what I will be working on at work. But I don’t have a printer right now. My only other choice is to print them out at the library. But I can’t do that right now either.

Yes, I know I use the word ‘only’ and the words ‘right now’ several times in the last paragraph. But it couldn’t be helped. At least I don’t think that it can. And I have tried a lot of different ways to do it. I can’t figure it out. If you can do it please let me know.

Today I start my new writing style. Between forced to write like this and all the extra work I must do at work now I don’t know how much I will get done. I’ll do as much as I can. Now you can read why I wrote the title for this Blog entry the way that I did. It’s because of what I am now being forced to do at work.
