Day 27: Elton John - Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting
I was originally going to go with a different video here, but I thought I'd stay with the whole Fandango theme. This was another song in the movie. I don't have to fight like that anymore, but many skills came into play to get the right things done with enemies about! But I try to work behind the curtain. There are two cities that enjoy music on a stage I found a way to build. But they don't remember my name. I like that.

I'm currently fighting right now with my city, legally, and it sucks. People can be so damn stupid. Why would you want to piss off the one guy who cares enough to find money for projects. Is writing a couple million in grants something you just hate? Because it isn't even in my job description, but I do it because it needs to be done. Also, since I can't use my old skills for anything but good now, grant writing is an excellent outlet.

My last job it should have been Thursday night, and now Monday nights, that are all right for fighting. But here's the problem they have no idea exists. My last job found out about it, and these people will as well. When someone has finally had enough, and decide the fight is no longer worth it, they stop. I don't write as many grants now, and only for things I really have an interest in, like parks. If I were to move on, however, no one here could finish these projects, and they'd lose money. My last job had to give back $500,000 for a new park. No one could handle the project.

So much of my life is tied up in work, I almost have to put it in here for anyone to get a real picture of my life. It's turned me into a recluse, and for the most part, I hate being around people. I love the work, it's the citizens who don't understand or care to understand that makes it a nightmare.

This used to play first thing every morning when I started up my computer:
