Things are Starting to Go My Way for My Secret Project

True, I didn’t get as much as I wanted to be done yesterday at work with my secret project. But I got a lot more than I thought that I would. Why didn’t I get more of it written? What is the usual reason for not being able to do it? If you said work, you are partially right.

Then again you are kind of wrong too. Work wasn’t all that busy yesterday. At least it wasn’t a typical Friday. Most Fridays are usually kind of busy. But not yesterday. The answer to why it wasn’t is because of the snow storm that passed through that morning. It was almost gone by the time I got to work. But its effect plagued me throughout my shift.

Work isn’t the only reason why I didn’t get more written on my secret project yesterday. No, it’s not because I changed my mind again. In fact, I did what I planned on doing. And I didn’t have any bad feeling about it. I think that I have solved my ‘something is wrong’ problem. No, the reason why I didn’t get more written is that I had a lot of trouble concentrating. I knew what I wanted to write. Just not sure how to do it.

Most of the paragraphs flowed onto my laptop without too much trouble. But there were a few that didn’t flow too good. And there was one or two I had a lot of trouble with. One of them I must have re-written three or four times at least before I solved it. The problem with that one was its length. I wanted it to be five lines long too. but it didn’t want to be more than four with the way I wanted it to end. It took me a long time to figure that one out.

So, what am I going to do today? I’m not sure about that. On one hand, I want to continue working on this part one. But on the other one, I want to start working on the second part one. I don’t know which hand will win. But it probably will be the second one. I’m still not sure about Sunday either. I could continue working on the second part one or I could go back to the first part one. A lot will depend on how much writing I get done today. If it’s a typical Saturday, I might get a lot more finished on it that I did the first part one.

Usually, Saturdays at work are kind of slow. But because of the snow storm yesterday it might not be a normal Saturday. If it is, I should be able to get a lot of my writing done today. Then again, I might not. Work isn’t my only possible reason for my lack of productivity. A lot depends on how much trouble I have with the writing itself. I know how I’m going to start my paragraphs and what I want to write in them. But I’m not sure if I’m going to have trouble doing it. I’m hoping I won’t have any trouble with them. But with my past track record on this secret project, I doubt that is going to happen.
