The Glory of God
The Glory of God:
Finding My Companion
He came to me,
after my evening prayers were said,
when my soul reposed on an ocean of tranquility.
I saw Him
descending out of the firmament:
His body robed in clouds,
His face veiled by light,
His hair floating on currents of air,
His deep eyes piercing my soul.
He comes to me
after my prayers are intoned,
when my spirit reposes on a sea of serenity.
I hear His voice:
the voice crying from the burning bush;
the voice of the Nightingale
singing in the limbs of the Tree of Life;
the voice of Christ Returned in the Father's Gllory.
