A Hope That Frees

Sometimes the world's against us sore.
Some friends are frenemies.
We wonder how to take much more.
We need a hope that frees.

We make mistakes and wish we hadn't.
We wonder, "Who's to blame?"
We "take our lumps" and feel quite saddened,
yet thank The Lord we came.

There's not a thing within our lives
apart from God's clear eyes.
The hope within us always thrives
as a gift of God-made size.

At times we need a place to be,
that's peaceful and away
from other's problems that we see,
and in His Presence stay.

"Just come to rest awhile and sup
with Me, as hope returns.
A weary soul, I'll lift you up
to hear My Heart and learn."
