Love in Bloom

Love in Bloom

A tendril rises from its earthen womb,
the changing season acting as midwife.
It smiles at heaven, its lilac face
turning toward the giver of life,
reflecting its exuberance for existence.

A zephyr hums a springtime melody;
a lilting song of joy that fills the air.
The blossom dances in its freedom;
its movements offered
up as thankful prayer.

There’s love in Mother Nature’s tender hand.
She orchestrates the sun,
         the wind,
                   the sea,
in gentle concert with the pregnant earth,
a symphony of all that’s yet to be.

In time, new seeds will fall unto the rich soil
and, patiently, will dream of their own birth.
