Poems written
while reading Tablets of the Lord of Host by Baha'u'llah.

When I read God's Word
pceans of tranquility surge;
peace flows through my mind.

Unselfish prayers
voices raised in thanksgiving
for blessing received and approaching.

Poet's Note:

The "Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for DAY 2038
Your (or your character) overhear someone making a confession. What were they confessing, and to whom?

Confessions are between individuals
and their Lord,
if overheard it remains unspoken
because repeating is gossip,
which is something to be abhorred.

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise prompt for DAY 1641
Write a four line poem about a mysterious island. (Do this two times: once where each line rhymes and then again with no rhyming at all.) Let your creativity flow.

I stand on an island
looking out to the sea,
I can return to the mainland
if a tall ship comes to rescue me.

The palm fronds are singing in the wind,
the waves are rolling onto the beach:
Do I really want to leave this peace and tranquility
to return to the chaos of modern civilization?
