Still looking for work and feeling old

Every day I look at want ads. My work skills are very old like me. So I am worried I won't find anything and my money will run out. I am willing to take employment with temp service to up grade some of my skills or get my feet wet once again. I am just scared of rejection just like when a writer sends there stuff out. I want to do that to but I have too much on my plate.
