Not From Vanity
Not From Vanity
I
hear the
silent words;
I see the plight
of those in pain, of those lost in the night.
My instincts says turn – but my heart can't flee.
As I listen
I find one
voice is
me.
It's
then I
find that my
humanity
must extend to self, not from vanity.
It's an extension, another part of
the compassion
encompassed
by my
love.
