How Amazing!

The mirror asks me, "What's amazing?"
I reply, "Where do I start?"

"What do you consider to be amazing?"
"Why do you ask?"

"Well, Human, you have the normal body
of arms, legs, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etcetera."
"Yes, Mirror, and you reflect what you see,
though you are bound by finite space."

"Human, you are average. You are not the top level
"of any skill, of any attempt at mastery,
"of any aspect of life. You simply are.
"You do not excel. What is so amazing about you?"

"Mirror, you are glass, wood, silver plating and border.
"Yet, you reflect the light that you are given.
"You reflect the image of a prince for I am the son of a king.
"You are not a static piece of artwork.
"You are always changing with the light you are given."

"But that's me! What about you, Human?"

"Do you not see the comparison, Friend?"

"What do you mean by comparison?"

"Mirror, you have been made for one purpose.
"You are made to reflect light.
"As long as you reflect light you are amazing
"For you are doing that for which you were created to do."

"Comparison?"

"As long as I am being and doing the things that agree with my creation,
"then I am amazing because I am in agreement with my Creator and no one is more Amazing than He is.
"I write poems in the style of the ability I have been given to write poetry.
"Is that not amazing?"

"I believe that it is. Please, continue."

"Music is a wondrous Gift!
"Art is a wondrous Gift!
"Writing is a wondrous Gift!
"Friendship is a wondrous Gift!
"Love is a wondrous Gift!
"Communication is a wondrous Gift!
"Wisdom is a wondrous Gift!"

"I see. Everything that is who we uniquely are
remains a Wondrous Gift!"

"You've got it!
"Are there others, who are better than I am
in any or all of the aforementioned areas of gifting?"

"I have no idea!"

"Without doubt there are!"

"Then, what makes you so amazing?"

"I am the best ME that any human can ever be!
"I write in my own style better than any other human can ever write like me!
"I sing, play and create music like myself better than anyone else can!
"I create art like myself better than anyone else can!
"I express friendship, love, communication and wisdom like myself better than anyone else can!"

"What's so amazing about that?"

"Just look in the mirror."
