Istijlál , 6 Sharaf (Honor) 174 B.E. - Thursday, January 4, 2018 On the First Thankful Thursday in 2018 On the first Thankful Thursday in 2018 I am grateful that there are 51 Thankful Thursdays left in the year. This means that I can find 510 more things to be thankful for before the beginning of 2019. I am thankful that my poem "Meditation" was featured in "Spiritual Newsletter (January 3, 2018)" . I am grateful that my poem "New Years' Resolutions" received honorable mention in "Stormy's poetry newsletter & contest" and was featured in "Poetry Newsletter (January 3, 2018)" . On the first Thankful Thursday in 2018 I am tankful that I have been able to write a poem and a blog everyday since January 1. I ended 2017 by writing all day on December 31, and I began 2018 by writing all day on January 1. I am grateful that I have been able to log into writing.com everyday because reading and reviewing is inspiring, while helping me focus on the goals I have chosen for this year. On the first Thankful Thursday in 2018 I am thankful for my family because I love them, and talking to them or seeing their posts on Facebook is inspiring. I am grateful for the articles on BahaiTeachings.org1 because they are inspiring, encouraging, and give me something positive to read when I get depressed. I an thankful for the news article on Baha'i World News Service2 because they help me keep up with what is going on among the Baha'is across the Earth. On the first Thankful Thursday in 2018 I am grateful for the Internet because I can access several Baha'i websites that contain information about the history of my faith, as well as those that have the quotations from the sacred scriptures. I am grateful for the Baha'i prayer app I have on my smartphone because I can access the sacred writings and prayers when I find myself beginning to get depressed or my mind wandering over problems I cannot solve.
