When I first started writing poetry back in 2001, I enjoyed writing poems that told a story. I wrote many of such story poems, which I labelled a storoem (stor- plus -oem). Many storoems are to be found in my portfolio and in my published poetry collections. Therefore, I was quite pleased to discover that Lisa Noe now has a monthly story-poem contest:
