I Feel A Poem Coming On

I Feel A Poem Coming On:
To The Blessed Beauty

"I feel a poem coming on,"
rising out of my subconscious mind,
and proclaiming the Blessed Beauty's name.

It is a free style poem,
whose inspiration
comes from two sources:
the first source
is the bicentenary of Baha'u'llah's birth,
and the second
is a poetry newsletter.

This is not an unusual response,
I can trace most of my odes
to numerous influences.

Even when the verses
are secular
I can feel the reassurance
of Baha'u'llah,
the Blessed Beauty,
encouraging me
to strive for perfection.
