Worshiping God in an Expanding Universe

Light year by light year
knowledge expands
pushing the boundary of the physical universe,
and the boundary of material reality
to the limits of perception.

Time and distance unite
to limit sight,
and construct an edge
to physical reality.

At the limit of sight
the edges blur,
and the boundaries merge;
beyond the physical cosmos
spiritual reality expands
and evolves.

The mystery deepens,
and God,
the unknowable essence,
remains unknown,
unobserved
except for His effect
on the expanding universe.

At the limits of perception,
the mirror of divine attributes
reflect
the splendor of spiritual reality
to the eye of matter.

Awestruck
the soul prostrates itself
before the increasing glory of God.
