An Icy Confrontation
Once lovers, now exes,
meet again at the Alamo in Texas
One heart filled with love
While the other's cold as ice
Their parting was sweet sorrow
Now there's no more tomorrows
The lady fair shuns his embrace
Turns her back and departs in haste
Tears fall where war once waged
She turns, and calls back, "Good-bye!"
He waves back half-heartedly with a sigh,
Knowing once again he had to forget,
The sweet smell of lavender of Kitt.
He looks back, and finds her gazing,
Watching him, and he begins to pray
That she finds her someone as he hopes
Both needed closure for them to cope.
This final meeting gave them that format.
