Prompt 3 ~ Rex Transformation ~ Poetry
A wise old wizard watched the young dragons at play,
He taught them, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way,”
Telling his shy student, Rex, his bravery will be set free,
To become a great dragon of GoT, fierce with loyalty.

As Rex grew, his scales turned from red to black, and a row of quills,
Ran from the base of his skull to shoulders, evil slitted-eyes gave one chills,
His tail had a bladelike extension, that could kill the enemy at first contact,
Evil eyes would mesmerize, and a whip of his tail gave no one time to react.

Rex, fully grown, a terror of every kingdom, his nostrils blows fire,
So … Beware, stay vigil, you never know when he’ll magically transpire,
His gigantic, close-set wings run from shoulders to the end of its tail,
Is he a devil in disguise? Who knows, but he’s something beyond the pale.

But who’s going to judge when you’re in his sights, and put you in a coffin,
“This is what I was taught, I know how to kill!” He says with an evil grin,
“I don’t remember my youth of carefree play, just a wise ole’ wizard advice,”
My dream to become a fierce dragon, my horns to impale, I don’t play nice!”

Do not let a wizard entice your scared, shy, runt of a dragon to be fierce,
Not knowing what magical evil are in his cards, what would be their effects?
Maybe Rex would have turned out to be a sweet, cute little dragon with wit,
Instead of a dragon to be feared as Rex, the Rogue, who kills for fun of it.
