What is Creativity?

What is creativity?
I ask my muse,
as I contemplate my poetry goals
for the next 127 day.

Write 200 poems
dedicated to Blessed Beauty1
before October 22, 2017.

What is creativity?
It is
the perfect marriage
of mind and soul
directing
my fingers on the keyboard
while I type
metaphors and similes
into the document displayed
on my computer monitor.

Creativity,
is also my muse
directing my pen
as it inscribes
stanza and line
onto a sheet of notebook paper.

Creativity
is a spiritual attribute.
