Garage Sale Memories When Mom was alive, before the Alzheimer's took her mind, we went to numerous garage, yard, and junk sales. At each one you could find something strange, weird, or unusual. At a garage sale, held my one of my mother's friends, I found a slide rule. The price was $1.00, so I purchased it. I don't have to make up a back story for this because the lady, whose name I can't seem to remember, said it was her husbands. The gentleman had died and she was selling some of his stuff so that she could move into a smaller place. I don't know why I purchased it then, but I'm glad I did because I think it would make a nice object to use in a story.
