Wiledcard Thursday: Little Things & Touring a Museum
Thursday, May 25, 2017

"We can do little things for God; I turn the cake that is frying on the pan for love of him, and that done, if there is nothing else to call me, I prostrate myself in worship before him, who has given me grace to work; afterwards I rise happier than a king."
Brother Lawrence

One big thing versus lots of little things...take that in any direction you'd like.

Little Things

Someone once said, "That if you took care of the little things then the big things would take care of themselves." I don't know if that true in all situations, but I do know that it's true the majority of the time. Happiness is achieved incrementally, one small joy at a time. Big successes is achieved through small planning steps that moves a project forward when each person on the team does the little things one at a time. A novel is completed one chapter at a time. A chapter is completed one word at a time. When the little things are accomplished then the whole is greater then the sum of its parts.

"Living is like touring through a museum . Not until you later , do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book and remembering because you can't take it all in at once." Audrey Hepburn How do you feel about this? Write your thoughts on this.

Touring a Museum or Fighting Dragons

I don't think living is anything like touring a museum. I think its more like fighting a dragon with a fire extinguisher. Sure the chemicals in the fire extinguisher will put out your hair when the dragon's breath ignites it, but in order to put the dragon's fire out completely you have to ram that extinguisher down the dragon's throat. This means you have to willingly get into the dragon's mouth.
