A lot of celebrities, actors, musicians, and otherwise famous people died in 2016.   Is there one you'll miss the most, or one who had any particular influence on any of your writing?

We Cry

We cry,
shed tears
for those who've passed
through the curtained door
separating matter and spirit.

We cry
sometimes we shed invisible tears
detected
only by expressions
on our faces
or our silence
at the shock of hearing
a familiar name
on the news
or reading it in a headline.

Who will we miss the most?
May be a question without an answer
until we ourselves
pass through the dark curtain
to emerge on the other side.

Who has the most influence...
A mystery
that can only be answered
at the end
of a writer's physical life
when the entire body of works
are evaluated
by posterity.
